day 40
At first I thought yesterday should be my last day out to Guang Gu, but today I went again. This time with Brice, Chris and Xue Bin. We went to eat 汤包 for lunch, which I ate there with Yingli the previous time because I said there is nice unlike yesterday's those we ate at Lao Shu Jie.

After we get our individual stuffs for last minute shopping, we went to wash our hair at the same salon. Surprisingly, the girl who washed my hair before remember me.
My hairstylist helped me to curl my hair temporary again, this time is quite suitable as later at around 6pm, there would be a farewell dinner and the VIP is the dean of Foreign Language School, Mr Philips An.

Anyway we got back to the University before 5.30pm, which is the time we should gather to go to the hotel restaurant to have our farewell dinner.
When we reached there, we were surprised that there is a wedding dinner going on too. I believe it is a mixed up done by the restaurant. But whatever it is, the farewell dinner and wedding dinner still took place at the same restaurant. I guess this is an opportunity seeing how China wedding is like.

Reflections:

Being remembered by the girl who done the washing of my hair before amazes me as I only been there once. This is what I would call as part of good customer service; able to remember a customer even though she only came for one time before.

Going to the farewell dinner with my new hairstyle and wearing my new heels, alot of people came to me and said I look different. I guess sometimes different is something good, make someone feel refreshed and new. Anyway Thanks to all the teachers and Mr An for accomodating to our needs and putting up with us all the students. (:

Dinner is nice; one difference in China's dinner is that rice comes last as it is only to fill the stomach, unlike in Singapore, rice comes together with the dishes and ate with the ingredients. This dinner I did not even eat the rice, but alot of the ingredients until I was full. For the wedding we witnessed, there isnt much of a super grand entrance by the bride and groom, the dishes for the wedding dinner are served all at once, no yam sengs can be heard and the wedding ended very early, about the same time as our farewell dinner ended like at 8pm plus. In my own opinion, I prefer Singapore's chinese wedding dinner as it is one and only wedding dinner a newlyweds can have with all their loved ones present, hence I would not mind a grand entrance as they are the main stars of the night. Plus yam sengs are fun and they do put smiles on people's faces. Furthermore, wedding dinner lasts late in the night is also fun, like I said it most likely to happen only once, hence so for once, the duration of it should be long.

After the farewell dinner, fireworks is not to be missed since two days later or for ICT is three days later, we would not be able to enjoy or light fireworks whenever we want.
