I went to stay over in the airport on 31st aug
since 5am was the meeting time
and my family also tagged along
so nice of them right?
((:
it has been awhile since i stepped into the airport
but the feel is nice, i agreed that changi airport is one nice place to chill though you may not find such entertainment there. However, with great friends and family around, is just so much cosier and warm. Plus time pass very fast until 5am when you have someone (my dear Michelle) to chat with. =)

it was time to meet up!
To spot the whole group of 18 pharmacy science students plus Dr Tan Hong Kiat was not difficult as most of us were wearing the RED wuhan shirt that was provided to us. (representing the colour of LSCT, China and easier to spot any of us.)
The time to check in the luggage and waiting to board the plane took super long and soon we could enter the gate, after waving and saying goodbye to our families.
Dont worry, we will take great care of each other and come back safe and sound.

on the plane, hajar and edah were my seat partners. hahas
while we were seating together, we explored the stuffs in front of us and started to take pictures together.
Yee Tat had shown me a bag which can be used for waste or airsickness, and it was named "Clean Bag". A example of direct translation done from Chinese to English. This is one difference where direct translation is often seen in China, unlike in Singapore. As Chinese is mostly used in China and it is her main language that when English is needed, it is not portrayed clearly. This makes me think that since English is a language that had been instilled in us since we were young and in the education system, we should be getting it right and well said.

This is the view of what we three saw at our plane window.

After we reached Guangzhou, it was 11am plus. Out of the plane we went and into the China Immgration Inspection, where we received our boarding pass and went into the inspection area. Dr Tan asked us to have our lunch and then to gather at 4pm so to get ready to board the plane to wuhan.
To find a MacDonald, it took us half an hour, walking in a circle. Finally we did find it, enjoyed our lunch.
This is my lunch. nice right? Its quite delicious, very worth the money around $6 singapore dollars i think, however the french fries are very salty.
Mini sundae (: berry flavour, does not exist in Singapore.
The McDonald's sign is so big, cannot find that in Singapore at least I do not think there is.
Soon, it was time to go to the gate to wait to board the plane to wuhan.
I fell asleep while waiting, must be feeling tired since the whole day was just to take a plane to Guangzhou then another to our destination. Plus after reaching wuhan, the university is not next door, hence a bus drove us there. It took around an hour plus.
Reached wuhan university of science and technology at 9plus pm and was rushed to have dinner at a restaurant in the university.
This was our dinner, our very first meal in wuhan, with many different courses. The food is slightly different from singapore's, with the variety in meats, the ingredients they used and the way they cooked them.
After this dinner, we were off to our rooms, my roommate is Millison (:
Two of us in a room, which consists of
three beds, one wardrobe, one sink, a toilet
The sink is different, is big, rectangular and made of tiles. The toilet is small, but now able to adapt to it, luckily it does not really smell bad. The hole of the toilet bowl where all the waste goes is small and the area to shower is close to that hole, that if you are not careful, you may step into it. hahas.
I always tend to sit on the bed when i saw it, the next moment when i sat on the bed, I kind of immediately stood up because I did not expect to sit on a bed that is that hard. However, the bed is quite nice to sleep in overall.
The next morning came and time for us to be awake.
Breakfast was at the campus canteen, is cheap and the food is not bad. But for now, only two stores are open, have to wait for the campus holidays to be over, before all the stores will be back for business.
To get the food, a card can be used to pay for it using a machine. This is one of the more advanced technology can be seen in China since it is still a developing country, not very well developed with much technology yet.
After a full breakfast, some of us were off for a short walk around the campus.
the library.
one of the telephone booths in the campus.
the adminstration block (behind me).
the school bus which only can sit around 10 people. so small.

me and hajar at a small bridge at the front of the campus.
ryan, ernest and tony are the year 1s who came on this trip =)

after the small campus walk, we went to buy necessities that we need, plus prepaid card that we can use to call or message.

the shopping mart we bought our necessities from.
After bringing back the necessities to our dorm, we went to have lunch at canteen and we decided to go to the town to shop at GRAND OCEAN shopping mall.

me and tony in the bus on the way to town.

outside the bus window
the shopping mall is very big, soon it was time for us to go back.
We walked to the busstop to take 901wai, waited for more than 30 minutes before the bus actually came.
So happy when the bus came as we were dead tired, need a bath and rest.
A photo taken after shower:

and off to bed.
Overall, there are differences between Singapore and China which i compared above. I think there will be more to find out about as the stay in wuhan continues. Up till now for two days in wuhan, I am still able to adapt quite well. Good to have better adaptability and flexibility since being in a country different from my home country plus the feeling of missing home definitely will be felt.
all the best to my fellow trip mates!
lets have fun together playing as well as studying.
and Thanks for supervising and teaching us, Dr Tan.
This trip wont be completed without you, my fellow trip mates and the rest of the teachers who organised this.
